APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DESIGN AND ART. WORKING WITH VISUAL GENERATORS

 

Goals

The course "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Design and Art" aims to provide students with knowledge and skills to use AI tools and techniques that enhance creative processes to achieve more effective results.

Completing this course will equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to utilize various tools and techniques for creating visual content. This may involve working with graphic software, computer-generated graphics, digital image processing, vector graphics, animation, and other creative tools.

Participants will learn how to combine different techniques and styles to create unique and innovative works of art. Creating visually appealing, contemporary, and skillful content will allow them to express their ideas, emotions, and messages effectively.

 

The class will finish with an exhibition - a conference with printed and materialized artworks generated with the help of AI.

 

 

 

The class includes the following modules and topics:

• Ways to create a Mood board
• Training with Midjourney
• Training with Adobe Firefly
• Designing ideas
• Conceptual implementations
• Practice

Start: November 6, 2023,

Class schedule: Twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) for 2 academic hours in the evening from 18:30 to 20:00.

Duration: 60 academic hours.

 

 

Lecturers:

Yana Karadimova is an artist with 20 years of experience in graphic and web design. She graduated from a high school specializing in graphics and decorative arts, followed by a major in "Graphic Design and Visual Communications" at the New Bulgarian University - Sofia. She began her career at the Bulgarian National Bank as part of the team in the Graphic Studio after completing her training in Lausanne, Switzerland. She has worked for various international organizations including: UNDP, IOM, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and others. Over the years, she has created visual identities and various advertising concepts for companies such as Cisco, Nokia, Siemens, BMW, and others. From 2008 to 2010, she participated in a project for integrating children from minority groups through projects in Art in Pistoia, Italy. Her portfolio includes creating valuable books and banknotes, book covers, website design, corporate branding, and more. In 2010, she founded the Karadime studio, specializing in Design concepts and consultations.

 

Ventsislav Vulev is a visual artist with years of experience in creating graphic concepts. He graduated from the Profiling High School for Fine Arts "Professor Nikolay Raynov" - Sofia, after which he continued his education in the field of Visual Arts and Theater at the New Bulgarian University. In the role of Creative Director and partner in a graphic studio. Ventsislav works on projects for various international companies and organizations in different sectors such as Realtor, UNICEF, Bookit, MoMa, Nestle, Dewars, etc., offering comprehensive visual solutions.

 

Tuition Fee: 1200 BGN for external students and 1000 BGN for current students at NBU.
