PSYCHOSOMATIC MEDICINE
CURRENT ADMISSION
COURSE DESCRIPTION AND AIMS
The aim of the course is to acquire the following knowledge:
- knowledge of the various theoretical models that form the basis on which psychosomatics function: Biopsychosocial model, Psychophysiology, Psychoneuroimmunology.
- understanding the role and responsibilities of the counselor in his work with the patient
- distinguish the main roles of the consultant
- awareness of ethical and medical legal norms.
knowledge of the following clinical disorders and situations: Somatization, Depression and anxiety; Pathological behavior in various diseases, Chronic pain and others....
PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS:
Students are required to have the following knowledge and/or skills:
- medical education
- ..medical specialty incl. psychiatry
COURSE CONTENT:
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students who complete this course:
1) will know:
- The mechanisms of the link between „mental“ and „physical“ in health and disease;
- the causes of disorders and their treatment when there is physical and psychological comorbidity
- the main roles of the consultant
2) will be able to:
- construct a wording that includes psychodynamic or psychological, social and environmental aspects when there is also a physical illness

The courses lasts 12 hours /online/
Tuition fee: 120 Euro.
The course will be held with a group of 7 people.
